RED JACKET - Several Mingo Central Lady Miner student-athletes received some recognition this past week for their play on the volleyball court and the soccer pitch this past fall as they were voted on the All-Cardinal Conference teams by the fellow coaches in the conference.

Starting with the volleyball team, multi-sport standout Zoe Evans was named to the first team as was teammate Ashley Wolford. Both Evans and Wolford helped lead the Lady Miners this past fall.

Jami Cisco landed a spot on the second team while Hely Cline garnered honorable mention.

The Lady Miners will be looking for a new volleyball coach when they take the court next fall as Jan Cisco resigned from the position last month. For the Lady Miners on the soccer pitch they saw their best season in school history under coach Noah Rhodes as they reached a new high for win totals with four and were competitive in most of their games.

Senior Kailey Mounts landed first team All-Cardinal Conference for Mingo Central and was joined by senior Ricki Wellman who was named to the second team.

Taylor Wellman and Mallory Roberts both received honorable mention.
