WILLIAMSON - Former WVU and Cincinnati Bengals running back Quincy Wilson visited Smokin' Pit BBQ on Pike Street in Williamson on Friday afternoon to sign free autographs and take pictures with Mountaineer and Bengal fans alike. Wilson, a Wierton native, played all four years at WVU and was selected Third Team AP All-American his senior year and First Team All-Big East. He played in 44 games at West Virginia, with 474 rushing attempts for 2,608 yards and 20 TDs, plus 25 receptions for 147 yards and one touchdown. His rushing attempts and yards both ranked fifth in school history at the close of his career.
He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 7th Round of the 2004 NFL Draft but was waived before the start of the season and was picked up by the Bengals where he played four years.
Wilson is now the running backs coach at WV. State University in Institute, West Virginia.
