WILLIAMSON - The 20th annual Hatfield McCoy Marathon is officially in the books as 47 year old Barry Fischer from Cloquet, Minnesota finished first overall in the men's division with a time of 3 hours and 13 minutes.
Fischer, who was running in his first ever Hatfield McCoy Marathon, said the unique course was fun but challenging.
He said he has now ran over 40 marathons in 25 different states.
This makes the second year in a row a runner from Minnesota claimed the top spot as Eric Stevenson from Minneapolis won in 2018.
Over 1,100 runners registered for the four different races as thousands of people flocked the streets of Williamson and surrounding communities.
