WILLIAMSON - CrossFit Experior located on 3rd Avenue in downtown Williamson had their 2019 Memorial Day Murph Workout on Monday of this past week. The "Murph" was made in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy from New York who was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. The workout consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and ending with another 1-mile run. This workout was one of Lieutenant Murphy's favorite and he had named it "Body Armor," because he would wear a 20 lb. vest while completing the workout. Around 40 members from CrossFit Experior completed the workout and some even donned a 20 lb. vest in honor of Lieutenant Michael Murphy.
