MULLENS - Wyoming East Middle School's girls ended the season the way they opened it, with an emphatic statement.
This time the result was a 19-0 victory over Oceana in the championship game on Tuesday, May 7.
Andrea Laxton went 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple and a single, and she drove in five runs.
On the mound Savannah Brehm was unhittable, literally. She threw another no hitter in the title game.
Mikayla King was 2 for 3 with a triple, Madison Clark was 2 for 3 with a double and Emily Neace also had two hits for the Lady Warriors.
Kayley Bane had a double in the win and Brehm and Chloe Prichard were both 1 for 3.
Oceana beat Huff earlier to get to the championship game.
Kaylee Reed was the pitcher of record for Oceana and she was also 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles.
Abby Short was 3 for 3 with a double, Kelsey Verela went 2 for 4 with a double and Kenzie Stepp amd Arielle Lusk each had two hits. Emily Halsey and Abby Lusk each had a hit for Oceana in the victory.
Kylie Lester was 2 for 3 for Huff and Jayden Bailey had a double.
Carleigh Mounts and Molley Cline had hits.
Huff beat Oceana 17-9 on Monday and Wyoming East beat Huff 13-5.
The Lady Warriors finished the season with a 13-1 record.
The team outscored the opposition by a whopping 197-31.
Only two of the team's games made it to the seventh inning.
