OAK HILL - Three members of Wyoming East's sectional tournament runner-up squad were named to the All-Coalfield Conference team that was released Wednesday morning by the conference.

Westside had two players named to the first team.

Leading the way for the Warriors was Eric Hoosier, who led the Warriors in hitting with a .473 average, which was tied for fifth-best in the region this season. He was also among the area leaders in doubles with 14. He had a streak of six-straight games with a double late in the season for Wyoming East.

The catcher was one of just three seniors on the Wyoming East squad this season.

Matt Caldwell, the Warriors' ace this season on the mound, was also a member of the first team. He was also on the teams leading hitters, with a .452 average. He was eighth in the area in average and had 38 total hits, 11 of them in the postseason. He had a 23-game hit steak that ended in the final game of the season.

McQuade Canada was the other Warriors player on the first team.

He had a big year after moving to the leadoff spot and finished the year tied for fifth in the region with 38 runs. He also had eight doubles.

Westside's Bradie Vance, who recently signed to play baseball, led the Renegades in nearly all statistical categories, including average (.354), hits (34), doubles (9), home runs (2) and RBIs (22).

Vance was a valuable utility player, playing every position during the season for the Renegades.

Chandler Harvey, who hit over .300, and stole 14 bases, was also a first-team player for Westside.

Three Warriors were named to the second team All-Coalfield Squad including Clay Lester, Chase York and Brandon Simpson.

Four Renegades were named to the second team: Logan Vance, Hunter Lester, Ethan Blackburn and Spencer Kenney.
