The Upsilon Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority held a meeting on May 21 at the home of Melody Cook in Rock View.
The minutes of the May 9 meeting were read and approved without additions or corrections, after which reports were received from the Chapter Treasurer and following committees:
Hostess and Program: Hostess for this meeting was new Chapter President Melody Cook.
Service: Shoes for the 4-H Camp and Energy Express were collected at this meeting. Cards were sent to Kathy Cochran, Nancy Young and Geneva Martin. Teresa Blackmon distributed fliers requesting donations for the Wyoming East High School's Friends of the Earth Club trip to the Recycling Project Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. The Chapter also voted to donate its hostess money to the Club's trip fund.
Publicity: An article on the Chapter's April 11 meeting was published in the local newspapers as was a photo of Chapter members' recent trip to the Greenbrier.
Social: A Secret Sister Revealing and Drawing Social was held at this meeting.
Cultural Program: Stacey Butcher presented a program on Thirty-One items available for purchase.
New Business: Installation of the Chapter's new officers was held at this meeting.
The Chapter's next gathering will be a Committee Meeting scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at Tudor's Biscuit World.
Hostess gifts were won by Teresa Blackmon, Kathy Cochran, and Kathy Walls. Also in attendance were: Joyce Cook, Melody Cook, Mickey Pendry, Donna Musgrave, Kathy Thompson, and Vikki Stevens.
