Wyoming County Commission to meet
PINEVILLE - The Wyoming County Commission will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, in the County Commission Meeting Room at the Riverside Complex.
The commission meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Anyone is welcome to attend. If you have something you would like to have on the agenda, you must make an appointment by 3:30 Friday afternoon.

to meet on Nov. 15
MULLENS - The Wyoming County Board of Education will meet at 10 a.m. on Nov. 15 at Oceana Middle School.

CVB announces holiday decoration contest
PINEVILLE - The Wyoming County Convention and Visitors Bureau will sponsor a contest to find the best winter decorated storefront for any and all Wyoming County businesses.
The CVB encourages all businesses to decorate for Christmas/winter from Nov. 26 through Dec. 26 and send a picture to the CVB. Community members can also send photos of storefronts and businesses whose decorations they enjoy.
The CVB will post these pictures on its website and Facebook page, and the business receiving the most likes from Facebook will get free advertising on all CVB sites and possibly even a drone video for their own pages.
Oceana's Christmas parade to be on Dec. 6
OCEANA - Oceana's third annual Christmas Lights Parade is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6.
Parade lineup will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the street beside the library and along the back street toward City Hall. Parade will go from the Post Office to Gilliland Park.
The Oceana Christmas Lights Parade is a festive, fun-filled, illuminated Christmas parade to celebrate the community spirit of the season. Enter your church group, civic club, youth group, classic car, business, or family. Untangle your holiday lights and get glowing because everyone is invited to enter the parade. All you have to do is show up and get in line!
Following the parade, everyone is invited to gather at the amphitheater in Gilliland Park for free photos with Santa. Shentel will also be there doing a PIG Drop.

The ARTS presents
'A Christmas Carol'
LOGAN - Just in time for the holiday season, The ARTS will present Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol," at Southern WV Community and Technical College.

Restaurant to host Thanksgiving buffet
MULLENS - Twin Falls Restaurant will host a Thanksgiving Day Buffet on Thursday, Nov. 22.
Seatings will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
The buffet will include traditional Thanksgiving dishes including turkey with dressing, glazed ham, candied sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, salad bar, pumpkin pie and more.

MULLENS - The Mullens Area Chamber Of Commerce will host its annual Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Twin Falls Resort to host Christmas event
MULLENS - Twin Falls State Resort Park will host Santa, Cocoa and Cookies at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8.
Park to host New Year's Eve party
MULLENS - Ring in 2019 with a New Year's Eve Masquerade Party, 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Twin Falls Resort State Park.
The evening will feature DJ Dave Alley, a champagne toast, and appetizers from the Twin Falls Restaurant.
