36th annual Bear Hole Race at Twin Falls State Park, Mullens. Entry fee: 10K, 5K, 5K race/walk: $25 by May 31; $35 June 1 through race day. All paid applicants will receive a T-shirt at registration, sizes are not guaranteed. Online registration is available. Registration begins at 7 a.m.; race begins at 8 a.m. Lower end of golf course parking lot. New this year 5K Race Walk: Anyone participating in the 5K Race Walk must walk the entire race, or be disqualified without refund.

The annual Oceana Heritage Festival is planned for 6 to 10 p.m. on July 6 in Gilliland Park, Oceana. There will be free pizza and watermelon at 6 p.m., a free concert at 7 p.m., and fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Members are welcome to setup a booth on the tennis court during the Heritage Festival to let visitors know more about your business. Hosted by the Oceana Chamber of Commerce.
