Patrick Morrisey, candidate for West Virginia Attorney General

HUNTINGTON - The West Virginia attorney general is one of 16 Republican leaders from across the country petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to allow companies to fire workers based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is among 11 other attorneys general and three state governors - Matt Bevin of Kentucky, Paul LePage of Maine and Phil Bryant of Mississippi - to co-sign the amicus curiae brief filed by Nebraska Attorney General Douglas Peterson on Aug. 23.
