WILLIAMSON — DEFEATING DRUG TEST: Melissa Hall, 39, of Williamson, was charged with attempting to defeat an alcohol or drug test while on home confinement in Mingo County by Sgt. Norman Mines and home confinement officer Amanda Mines.
The criminal complaint states, "While waiting to speak with the probation officer, (Hall) was seated in the jury box and did have a plastic bottle that resembles a hair dye bottle inserted into her vaginal cavity with 'clean urine' in it."
The bottle burst while Hall was sitting in the courtroom and "did soak her jeans."
She had failed a previous drug screen and did expect to have another screening Dec. 11.
She was arraigned by Magistrate Donald Sansom. She was taken back to the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.
BRANDISHING A DEADLY WEAPON: Amanda Lester, 42, of Delbarton, was arrested and charged by Deputy Blake Sipple on a warrant from October for brandishing a deadly weapon. She appeared in magistrate court Dec. 12 in front of Jim Harvey.
The criminal complaint states that Lester pulled a firearm on her husband, Ebby Lester, and threatened to kill him with the gun.
GRAND LARCENY: Lonnie Noah Christianson, 28, of Crum, was arrested and charged by Cpl. E. Williamson of the Mingo County Sheriff's Department on Dec. 13 for grand larceny. Christianson allegedly stole a 2017 white Dodge Caravan from Larry and Barbara Stump, who live on Jennies Creek, which is on the Mingo-Wanye county line.
He was arraigned by Magistrate Donald Sansom.
