CHARLESTON - West Virginia Lottery Director John Myers has announced the hiring of Kayla Brown Giordano as the Lottery's deputy director of marketing.
"I am excited to be in a position to leverage the lottery's enhanced technologies and optimize our game portfolio to increase retailer and player satisfaction," Brown Giordano said. "I look forward to helping create and manage the foundation for future, sustainable sales growth for the West Virginia Lottery."
The Delbarton native and Burch High School graduate has served as the lottery's retailer and vendor relations manager for the past four years. She was the project lead for the lottery's traditional gaming system conversion. She also served as the project lead on the development and deployment of the lottery's mobile convenience app.
Brown Giordano earned both a bachelor's in business (2009) and a master's in business administration (2011) from Marshall University. She began working for the West Virginia Senate in 2009 and continued working at the Capitol as a legislative analyst for the Senate Judiciary Committee before joining the West Virginia Lottery's marketing staff in 2013.
She replaces Tommy Young, who took a job with the West Virginia Department of Education last November.
