BURGLARY: Shane Edward Nelson, 30, of Dingess, W.Va., was arrested April 11 and charged with burglary, grand larceny and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm by the West Virginia State Police. Nelson allegedly forcibly entered a residence at Dingess and stole a .22 caliber rifle and a .38 caliber pistol. The approximate value of the items is $1,550. The defendant also has numerous felony convictions including a malicious assault and wounding in 2013.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Jerry Fields, 31, of Williamson was arrested April 22 and charged with domestic assault and battery and brandishing a dangerous weapon by the Mingo County Sheriff's Department. Fields allegedly swung a fence post at a female victim and told he would kill her, according to the criminal complaint.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Debra Miller, 34, of Williamson was arrested and charged May 1 by the MCSD with destruction of property after doing damage to a camper. Miller allegedly ripped doors off the cabinets and did other damage inside the camper at Goodman Hollow, where she had been allowed to stay.
OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER: Millard Farley, 18, was recently arrested by the Williamson Police Department from an incident that happened March 25. Farley was arrested after an investigation of a larceny case involving vehicles belonging to Wright's Tree Service parked at the Fairview Addition area of Williamson. He is also charged with fleeing on foot, tampering with a vehicle, destruction of property, petit larceny and delinquency of a minor.
OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER: Leeli Farley, 36, of Chattaroy was arrested in the same criminal investigation involving Millard Farley by the WPD. She is charged with obstructing and giving false information to a police officer.
LARCENY: Billy Wallace III, 37, of Williamson was arrested April 30 and charged with larceny and obstructing an officer by the WPD. Wallace allegedly took a package delivered to a house on Prichard Street that did not belong to him.
VIOLATION OF A DVP: Timothy Dale Mahon, 52, of Delbarton was arrested May 1 and charged by the WVSP with the violation of a domestic violence petition, driving on a revoked license for DUI, simple possession and other traffic citations.
DOMESTIC, OBSTRUCTION: Mark Chadwick Smith, 47, of Delbarton was arrested April 30 and charged with domestic assault and battery and threatening an officer of the law by the Delbarton Police Department. The MCSD also has a warrant for Smith's arrest.
