Ernie J. Hinkle, 37, of Varney, went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2013, at the Logan Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 1, 1975, at South Williamson, Ky., the son of Aaron and Rosetta Baisden Hinkle of Belo.
Ernie was employed by Rockhouse Creek Development as a chief electrician. He was of the Church of God Faith. Ernie was a 1994 graduate of Burch High School. During his time at BHS he enjoyed playing basketball for the Bulldogs. He was on the 1993 State Championship Team. Ernie was also a barber for more than 10 years having worked in Delbarton at the Ideal Barber Shop.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Brandi Goan Hinkle; a daughter, Kelsey J. Hinkle; sister, Jamie (Mike) Pigman; special nephew, Holden Michael Pigman; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Friday March 22, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Runyon and Robbie Messer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinkle Cemetery at Belo. Pallbearers will be his friends and family. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday evening.
