Liz Goad

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Goad,age 53 of Beech Creek, passed away Sunday; September 26, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.

Born May 25, 1957 at South Williamson, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson "Jack" and Mary Belle Murphy Goad.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers: Ted, Andrew Jackson Jr., Richard Wilson, and John Roy Goad and four sisters: Martha Stewart, Mildred "Midge" Teeters, Betty Simpkins, and Sue Whitley.

Liz was a homemaker and a member of the Ben Creek Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter: Tiffanee (Bruce) Kennedy of Beech Creek; three brothers: David (Kay) Goad, Joe Paul (Sheila) Goad, and James (Cheryl) Goad - all of Beech Creek, and five sisters: Grace (William) Preece of Jane Lew, Sally Looney of Wilmington, Ohio, Myrtle (Bill) Curry of Forest Hills, Ky., Daphene (William) Steele of Beech Creek, and Debbie Donahue of Versailles, Ky. Also surviving is a host of nieces and nephews - who referred to her as "their Sissy", and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 12 p.m. from the Ben Creek Church of Christ at Ben Creek, with Cleatis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Goad Family Cemetery at Beech Creek with her nephews serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ben Creek Church of Christ with special services at 7 p.m.

David Mounts

David Mounts, 54 of Freeburn, Ky., died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital of South Williamson, Ky.

The family will begin receiving friends Tuesday, Sept. 28 and Wednesday, Sept. 29 at the Eagles Nest Church of Barrenshe Creek, Freeburn, Ky. at 6 p.m. with nightly services at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Eagles Nest Church at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Bill Ratliff and Bernard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Prater Cemetery at Barrenshe Creek, Freeburn, Ky.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phelps Funeral Services of Phelps, Ky.

Donald Mounts

Donald Kenneth Mounts, 69 of Charleston, formerly of Panther, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

Born June 17, 1941 at Mohawk, a son of the late Clarence and Pearl Justus Mounts.

Friends may gather with the family at the Greenbrier Freewill Baptist Church in Panther Tuesday, September 28 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

 Funeral services will be held at the Greenbrier Freewill Baptist Church in Panther Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. Burial: will follow in the Lawrence Cline Family Cemetery at Panther.

Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of arrangements.

William Robinett

William Douglas "Giglio" Robinett, age 45 and a resident of Stopover, Ky., passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Pikeville, Ky.

He was born Jan. 15, 1965 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the son of Douglas Robinett of Phelps, Ky. and the late Minnie Ellen Wolford.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his father, he is survived by one brother, Holly Robinett of Stopover, Ky., and one sister, Lily Gibson of Phelps, Ky.; nieces: Toisha and Keisha Robinett; nephew: Holly Douglas "Little Man" Robinett and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the R.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Phelps, Ky. with Rev. James Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Frank Robinett Cemetery at Stopover, Ky.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday at the chapel with services at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of the R.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Phelps, Ky.
