NOLAN - Construction of a stage for the Nolan reunion draws to completion as the reunion draws near. The stage will be used for live entertainment throughout the reunion, but owner of the land, Lacy Muncy, plans to use the venue for other future events.

The materials for the stage were donated by Muncy and it is located on the lot of his former business prior to the 1977 flood.

Along with live entertainment from singers like Judy Haney, the reunion will host its first ever car show. Several vendors and games for children are also being planned for the event as well as a bit of nostalgia in the form of old pictures and yearbooks.

The reunion is set to begin Friday, July 30 at 6 p.m. and will continue Saturday, July 31. A special homecoming service will be held Sunday at the Nolan Freewill Baptist Church as well. For more information about the reunion and its events, call (304) 235-5380.

For more information about the car show, contact Eugene Runyon at (606) 237-1183.
