Wayne Co. teen arraigned for ATV grand larceny

Magistrate Pam Newsome arraigned Jonathan Lee Hatfield, 18 of Fort Gay, Tuesday in Magistrate Court for grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Joe Smith, Josh Endicott and B.T. Sipple of the Mingo County Sheriff's Department, Hatfield, along with Michael Sturgell and a juvenile, stole a 2006 Honda all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and taken it back to Fort Gay. The ATV belonged to Danny Ferguson of Jennie's Creek and was valued at $5,000.

Magistrate Newsome set Hatfield's bail for $3,000. As of press time Hatfield had not posted bail.
