Charles W. Horn, 85, of Williamson passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, in the Intensive Care Unit at the Appalachian

Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky.

Born June 28, 1924, in Mingo County,he was the son of the late John and Inez Robinette Horn. He was also preceded in death by

his first wife, Elsie Marie Horn; his second wife, Mildred Jones Horn; two brothers, Rev. Jr. Horn and Harold Horn; and one sister, Thelma Ray.

Charles was a retired brakeman and engineer from the N&W Railroad, and attended the East Williamson Baptist Church. He was a veteran having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Horn of Plymouth, Minn.; two

sisters, Louise Nickels of Winchester, Ky., and Eleanor Noe of

Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren, Robert Cameron Horn of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jason Gregory Horn of Blacksburg, Va., Taylor Anne Horn of Plymouth and Christian Paul Horn of Plymouth.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, June 22, at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till time of service on Tuesday

at the funeral home.
