Ethel Chambers. 63, of Phelps, Ky., died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at her residence.

She was born in Phelps, Aug. 25, 1946, to the Nelson and Zettie Marie Norman Wolford. In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by sisters, Loretta Dotson, Helen Smith; brothers, Ernest and Alvis Wolford

Ethel was retired having worked for the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center as a certified medication Aid. She was of the Pentecostal faith

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Chambers; daughters, Lennetta (Jeff) Burgess of Virginia Beach, Va., Conzetta (Marcus) Stevenson of Phelps,; sisters: Juanita Dotson of Fla., Macie Hamilton; Ruth Downey; and Myrtle Combs all of Phelps; grandchildren, Jake and Alex Stevenson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Gooslin Bottom Pentecostal Church of God with the Revs. Benny Freeman, Shane Hurley, and Bruce Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Smith Fork of Phelps. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will begin receiving friends on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and Wednesday at the church with services nightly at 7 p.m.
