As part of their act of kindnesses, the Williamson and Burch baseball teams will be holding a bake sale and hot dog sale Saturday, April 24 at Food City in South Williamson, Ky. The teams will also be having a car wash at the Conley Memorial Baptist Church in Delbarton. Both events will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.

Players from both teams will be represented at each of the sales and all proceeds will be donated to the families of the Upper Big Branch miners.

"We'd would like the support of the community to help raise money for these families," said Williamson Head Coach Pedro Ledger.

The bake sale and hot dog sale will go on rain or shine, but the car wash will be postponed if inclement weather arises.

The acts of kindness initiatives are part of WVSSAC's ruling regarding the teams' post-game fight on April 6, but that should not dampen the worthy cause.

The Williamson vs. Phelps game scheduled for Saturday, April 24 has been cancelled as a result of the sales.
