DINGESS – The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department confiscated guns, cash and drugs during a recent drug bust in Dingess.

After making controlled buys, the department executed a search warrant at the home of 58-year-old John F. Blair in Dingess. Officers found the suspect at the home, and the subsequent search resulted in the discovery of hydrocodone (Lortab), alprazolam (Xanax), and crack cocaine.

Officers also seized a large amount of personal property, including two Harley Davidson motorcycles, an ATV, two scooters, a 1989 Dodge Ram pickup truck, a 2009 Chevrolet Chevelle and a 1966 Chevrolet SS, two pistols, a computer, a television set and more than $11,000 in cash.

Sheriff Department officers involved in the bust were J.D. Ferris, P.M. Muncy, C. Endicott, M. Mounts and D. Salmons.

Chief Field Deputy James Smith also expressed thanks to the West Virginia State Police department for their assistance with the arrest.

Blair was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and anticipate additional charges of delivery of a controlled substance based on their investigation.

Good Job ... keep up the good work !!! Thats whats wrong with this entire area DRUGS !! I commend you and all of the other officers that make a difference in our area !!
