Deborah Smith, 52 of Cynthiana, Ky., died Thurs-day, Jan. 28, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Born in Williamson, April 8, 1957, to Loretta Gooslin Fields, Harrison County and the late Rev. Opal Fields, Jr., she was a homemaker and an active member of the Webster Avenue Church of God. Mrs. Smith was also a loving wife, daughter and friend to all.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Smith; a sister, Judy Gallan; her paternal grandparents, Opal and Lillie Fields; her maternal grandfather, John Gooslin; her father in-law, Thomas Smith and her mother in-law, Mary Smith.

Besides her mother she is survived by her husband of 32 years, Ronnie Smith; her grandmother, Eunice Stump Gooslin of Edgarton; a brother Opal (Charlotte) Fields III, Somerset, Ky.; a sister, Kathy (Aaron) Webb, Louisville, Ky.; a brother in-law, Scotty (Joan) Smith, Nicholasville, Ky.; three nephews, Jamie Fields, Somerset, Aaron Webb, Jr., Louisville, Ky., and Adam (Emmy) Webb, Oak Grove, Ky.; a niece, Julie (Pat) Tucker, Vermilion, Ohio and a great niece, Savannah Lynn Webb, Oak Grove.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 p.m. Sunday at Ware Funeral Home by Pastor Garry Stith. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
