TVHS wins one, loses one on the road

PRINCETON - The Panthers lost in their first game of a three game road stretch against the Pikeview Panthers Saturday, Jan. 23, 76-86.

The teams stayed close throughout the game with exception of the 3rd quarter when Pikeview jumped out to a 9 point lead, 62-53.

Tug Valley’s Channing Preece had the team high of 24 points Saturday for the Panthers. Also scoring Michael Evans scoring 18, Austin Vance with 16, Nathan Brewer with 13 points, Mason Pack had 8 Austin Brewer had 5.

MADISON - Tug Valley scored a win over Scott High School Skyhawks Tuesday in their second straight away game, 59-37.

The Panthers’ Michael Evans led Tug with 18 points with Nathan Brewer close behind scoring 16. Other scorers for Tug Valley were: Austin Vance with 10 points, Channing Preece with 6, Mason Pack had 2, Cody Varney had 6 and Justin Runyon had 1.

Tug Valley (6-3) will play in another away game against Chapmanville today, Jan. 29 and will play Tolsia at the Williamson Field House as the home team at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30. The Panthers-Rebels game is apart of a triple-header with the Tug Valley Lady Panthers playing Burch at 3:30 p.m. and the boys junior varsity team playing Tolsia at 5:30 p.m.
