U.S. 23 in Johnson County, Ky., is closed at the old East Point skating rink (now a surplus store) due to an injury accident involving a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle, Kentucky Department of Transportation's Highway District 12 reports. The accident occurred around 11 a.m., Thursday, January 21.

District 12 Information Officer Sara George said both north and southbound lanes are closed at mile point 1.215. Law enforcement, rescue workers, firefighters, and state highway maintenance personnel are on the scene.
