The defense questioned Ryan Griffith Thursday about the reliability of his calendar, in which he noted dates in 2006 and 2007 when he said he was asked to divulge confidential internal estimates for state road projects.
Prosecutors allege road contractor Leonard Lawson and former Transportation Secretary Bill Nighbert used those estimates to illegally steer some $130 million in construction projects to Lawson’s companies. The prosecution has been using Griffith’s calendar to build a timeline for the case.
When asked by Lawson defense attorney Jason Barclay about the accuracy of his personal calendar, Griffith answered that, “It can be inaccurate.”
