Sadie Hatfield 84, of  Hurricane, W.Va., formerly of Williamson, W.Va., passed away Wednesday December 23, 2009 at Teays Valley Center, Hurricane, W.Va. She was born May 29, 1925 at Betsy Layne, Ky., to the late Harvey and Belle Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband; George Hatfield, three sisters and one brother. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Belfry.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Damron of Belfry, Ky. , and Patsy Shea of Boston, Mass., two grandchildren; Daniele (Nicki) Brogan and Derek Murphy and four great grandchildren; Marcus Murphy, Jade Morris, Mia Damron and Olivia Brogan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday December 28, 2009 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Ap-palachian Plaza with James Justice officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. ,with John Damron Jr., Curtis Brogan, J. R. Mays, Martin Shea and Derek Murphy serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m., Sunday night, December 27, 2009 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Appalachian Plaza.
