West Virginia State Senior Trooper Brandon Moore and Williamson Police Department Lt. C.D. Rockel made another drug bust this week. This is approximately the third in a two week time period.

The officers arrested Warren Thomas Spurlock Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio for an offense that occurred Oct. 31, 2009. According to the criminal complaint filed in Mingo County Magistrate Court, while conducting a road patrol, officers observed a black truck turning south on County Road 3/5 without headlights. The officers stopped the vehicle, making contact with Spurlock, who was driving the vehicle.

Officers obtained verbal consent to search the truck and found 16 oxycodone, 40 milligram tablets, a schedule II narcotic substance, in Spurlock’s pocket.

The complaint further states, that upon further investigation, the officers discovered that Spurlock had brought the tablets from Ohio to distribute in the Dingess area.

Spurlock was arrested for possession with intent to deliver and transportation of a controlled substance into the state.

Spurlock was arrested and taken to Southwestern Regional Jail, where bond was set at $100,000. He was then transported to Southwestern Regional Jail.
