HAZARD, Ky. (AP) — State police say there’s been a fatal shooting at a medical clinic in eastern Kentucky.

Police say a doctor was fatally shot Tuesday at the Leatherwood-Blackey Medical Clinic in Perry County. Police say a suspect is in custody.

The clinic is owned by Mountain Comprehensive Health Corp. in Whitesburg. The nonprofit corporation is one of the largest rural health centers in Kentucky, according to its Web site. A phone message left with Mountain Comprehensive Health was not immediately returned.

It was unclear whether anyone else was injured during the shooting. Police said no further information was immediately available.
