Helen Lenard

Helen Lenard, 78 of Williamson, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1931, born to the lat Crock-ett and Vina Bently Mc-Neely.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dellie C. Lenard; one daughter, Jean-nie Lenard; one son, Larry “Joey” Lenard; one brother, John Gent; and two sisters: Faye Millirones and Ruby Millirones.

She was a homemaker and a member of the King-dom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Chattaroy.

Her survivors include her sons: Kenneth Lenard of Chattaroy and Thomas Rus-sell Lenard of Williamson; and her daughters: Brenda Webb of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and Melody Guarine of Vero Beach, Fla. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, six nieces and eight nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel in Toler, Ky. with Elder Larry Cope officiating.

Visitation services will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the funeral home.

Gregory Mounts

Gregory Joe Mounts, 42, of Baisden, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 14, 1967, in Welch, he was the son of Carol Browning Mounts and the late Joseph “Joe” Mounts.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, at the Lighthouse Church at Baisden. Burial will follow at the Roy Cline Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at the Lighthouse Church at Baisden.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert.

Ronnie Stanley

Ronnie Stanley, 69 of Paintsville, Ohio, formerly of Forest Hills, Ky., passed away at his residence Dec. 2, 2009.

He was born Dec. 30, 1939 at Forest Hills, Ky. He was the son of the late Trimble and Matilda Stan-ley. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Roy and twin brother Donnie. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby, Nancy Sue and Janet and one step-son Jimmy.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Ollie, three daughters, Debbie, Sherry and Angie and three sons, Ronnie, Steven and Michael. He is also survived by three step-sons, Joe, David and Gary, one step-daughter, Karen, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and one special step-granddaughter, Crystal of the home. He is also survived by one brother, Rell (Gaynell) Stanley and four sisters, Lola Pacific, Sarah (Junior) Allred, Mary Ann (Danny) McCoy and Alice Faye (Clyde) Hogland.

Funeral services will be held at Johnsons Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ohio.

Dixie Woods

Dixie Alene Woods, 84 of Forest Hills, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hos-pital in Huntington.

She was March 7, 1925 in Durbin, Ky., to the late Floyd and Arlena Black West.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Woods who passed away July 17, 2006 and two brothers, Walter Milton and Floyd West, Jr.

She was a homemaker.

Her survivors include her daughter Debbie (Brian) Peake of Hardy, Ky., one granddaughter Melissa (James) Stacy of Hardy, Ky., three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dakota, and Dalton Lee Stacy of Hardy, Ky., and two sisters Cath-erine Vires of Michigan and Ruby Sims of Florida.

Private burial was held at the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.

Glen Casey

Glen Casey, 74, of Phelps, Ky., died Wednes-day, December 2, 2009 at Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, Ky.

He was born January 16, 1935 at Smith Fork to the late Anderson and Lena Stump Casey.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by son Stevie Glen Casey; bro-thers Shorty Casey, Junior Casey, Anthony Casey, Thomas Casey, Ermal Casey, and James Casey and sisters Hazel Casey Smith and Sadie Casey Thorpe.

Glen worked as a supervisor for the Lockfarmer Company of Chicago, Ill., for 12 years and was owner and operator of Casey’s Grocery and Eula’s Fash-ions in Phelps, Ky. Glen was a miner and coal truck driver for Kentland Coal Company and retired, having worked for Eastern Coal Company. He also served as a Pike County Deputy Sherriff for 22 years.

Glen was an active member of the Phelps community. He served as president of the Odd fellow’s Associa-tion and was a member of the UMWA original Local #5737, which later merged into Local #1440. He was also a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Phelps, Ky.

Glen’s survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Eula Faye Casey of Phelps, Ky.; sons Marty Casey of Phelps, Ky., and Chad (Donna) Casey of Harold, Ky.; daughter Shirley (Jeff) Coleman of Phelps, Ky.; brothers Earl Casey of Clay City, Ky., Ernest Casey of Cynthiana, Ky., George Casey of Clay City, Ky., Clinton (Joann) Casey of Stanton, Clifford Casey of Morehead, Ky., and a special brother, Ancie Lee Casey of Phelps, Ky.; sister Sharlene (Jr) Casey Taylor of South Williamson, Ky., and two grandchildren, Chris (Andrea) Coleman of Phelps, Ky., and Cyeria Casey of Paducah, Ky.

Honoring services will be Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 12 p.m., at the Church of God In Jesus Name of Phelps, Ky., with Rev. Opie Harris officiating. Entomb-ment will follow at Mount-ain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky., with nephews and friends serving as active pall bearers, the Phelps Ball Team as junior pall bearers, and the Pike County Sheriff’s De-partment as honorary pall bearers.

The family will begin receiving friends on Friday, December 5, 2009, at 6 p.m with special singing beginning at 7 p.m. at the church; and a special service on Saturday.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phelps Funeral Services of Phelps, Ky.

Beatrice Reynolds

Beatrice Reynolds, 86, of Lake Wales, Fla., died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Vista Care of Lubbock, Texas.

Born November 21, 1923 in South Williamson, Ky., Beatrice was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Francis Slater.

In addition to her parents, Beatrice is preceded in death by husband Conley Reynolds; brothers James and William Slater and sister Shirley Harker.

Beatrice was a homemaker.

Those surviving Beatrice are her brother Kenneth Slater of Lubbock, Texas, and sisters Mabel Trador of Lake Wales, Fla., Mary Doss of Travis City, Mich., Betty Eubanks of Chap-manville, W.Va., and Francis Burke of Sarasota, Fla.

Graveside services will be held Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1 p.m., at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky., with Brother Bob Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky., with family and friends serving as pall bearers.
