A Delbarton area man entered a plea of guilty Tuesday to one of three counts on which he was indicted by the September Grand Jury.

Chief Judge Michael Thornsbury accepted the plea in Mingo County Circuit Court and set trial for 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2010 for Ronnie Campbell, 34. who was remanded to Southwest-ern Regional Jail pending his return to court.

Campbell’s plea was to a charge of transferring stolen goods contained in Count I of his indictment. The stolen property was identified as an Ingersoll-Rand air compressor owned by Massey Energy Corporation and valued at $2,000. The offense occurred in December 2008.

In return for his plea, the state will dismiss one other count of transferring stolen goods and a charge of computer fraud.

Campbell was represented by Attorney Susan Van Zant, and the state was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Teresa D. Maynard.
