LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Shipments of swine flu vaccine are continuing to reach Kentucky, even as health officials announced the death of a Scott County man — the state’s sixth swine flu-related death.

The Lake Cumberland District Health Department in south-central Kentucky has scheduled flu clinics to administer doses of the nasal spray vaccine. Flu clinics in that area are scheduled to be open this Saturday in Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Russell, Taylor and Wayne counties.

Health workers are given top priority for the vaccine at the outset, until more shipments arrive.

In Lexington, health officials said Tuesday that the local health department has received its first delivery of the swine flu vaccine.

Scott County Coroner John Goble reported the death of a 39-year-old man in the state’s latest swine flu-related death. Goble says the man had been sick for several days. He says the man did not appear to have any significant underlying medical condition.
