Ezekiel Canterbury, 78, of Dingess, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born March, 30, 1931, to the late Joe Canterbury and Nevada Ramey.
Ezekiel was a member of the Gerald Memorial Freewill Baptist Church, a former bus driver for Mingo County schools, and former owner of Cooter’s Garage in Nolan.
In addition to his parents, Ezekiel was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his son, Ezekiel (Patty) Canterbury II of Lenore; daughters, Mechell (James) Hensley and Brandy (Tony) Canterbury both of Lenore; sisters, Eliza Gorsuch, Rachel Stevens, both of Ohio, and Thelma Quayle of Arizona; and his grandchildren which includes Tyler Hensley, who in his younger years lived with his grandfather.
In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Canterbury, he will be cremated and there will not be a visitation. Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Gregory-Page Funeral Home.

Densil Davis
Densil Davis, 65, of Baisden, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington.
He was born Aug. 7, 1944, to the late James Blaine and Esther Davis.
Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 11, at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Log Cemetery, Baisden.
Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of arrangements.
Teddy Hatfield
Teddy Hatfield, 74, of Belfry, Ky., passed away Thursday afternoon, Oct. 8, 2009, at his residence.
He was born May 23, 1935, in Pike County, Ky., the son of the late Perry and Cosby Coleman Hatfield. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
He was a retired coal miner and a member of Local Union 5737 and a member of the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lois Marie Dotson Hatfield; two daughters, Carolyn (Mike) Hager of Pikeville, Ky., and Sandy (Paul) Harrison of Canada, Ky.; and one son, Teddy David Hatfield of Hardy, Ky.; one brother, Curtis Hatfield of Ransom, Ky.; five loving grandchildren, Christy Nicole Phillips, Wendy Dawn Harris, Casey David Hatfield, Katie Micah Hager and Brittany Bishop; and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at the Bluesprings Freewill Baptist Church, Ransom, with Emery Varney and Lee Dotson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in th Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with nephews, family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday at the church with special services at 7 p.m. with Larry Hubbard officiating.
