LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — The madness has already started at Kentucky.

Fans, some of whom had been camping out for several days, needed just 45 minutes to gobble up tickets for Big Blue Madness at Rupp Arena on Oct. 16. The annual event is part exhibition, part spectacle and marks the beginning of basketball season at the home of college basketball’s all-time winningest program.

The hiring of coach John Calipari has created a renewed sense of enthusiasm around the program, and Calipari and the players spent Friday night hanging out with fans camping out for tickets.

Kentucky officially opens the season on Nov. 13 against Morehead State.
