The installation of various utilities at construction site the has slowed work on the new Mingo County Central High School, but workers are still making good progress. The multi-million dollar project — scheduled to open for the beginning of the 2011-2012 school term — will consolidate Williamson, Matewan, Gilbert and Burch high schools. Neighborgall Construction of Huntington is the general contractor for the facility. Nearby the site is the King Coal Highway, part of which has been built to rough grade status. When completed, the road will serve the school along with new business and residential sites
Kids that are on sports teams? They have practice after school....what time are they going to get home? Those who have after school jobs, what hours are they going to have to work? The drive home for these kids, homework, games, jobs......did anyone take any of this in consideration?
