David Daniel Keene, 45 of Belfry, Ky., passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in the Emergency Room of the Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was born February 4, 1964 in Pike County, Ky. the son of the late Jack and Gladys Maynard Keene.  He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Reaford, Michael Steven and Jacob Keene and a sister, Eula Farley.  He was a disabled carpenter.

He is survived by five sons, Tyler Jackson Keene, Austin Trey Keene and Dustin Keene all of Wil-liamson, W.Va., Jonathan Michael Cleary of Red Jacket, W.Va., and Jacob Daniel Walls of Burnwell, Ky.; five sisters, Betty (Donnie) Farley of Hardy, Ky., Eleanor (Tommy) Preece of Turkey Creek, Ky., Sue (Thomas) Metcalf of Sadieville, Ky., Corrine M. Keene of Belfry, Ky. and Marlene (Ike) Stepp of Tennessee; six brothers, James (Joyce) Keene of Burnwell, Ky., Joe (Cora) Keene of Lovely, Ky., Teddy Keene of Aflex, Ky., Glen (Geneva) Keene of Texas, Delbert (Wilma) Keene of Ohio and Bill (Debbie) Keene of Ohio; his loving companion and Fiancee, Jenny Duty of Belfry, Ky. and a step grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11 a.m., at the Leckieville Freewill Baptist Church with Lonnie Francis officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Keene Cemetery, Burnwell, Ky.  Visitation will be held from 6 - 10 p.m., Friday at the Church with special services at 7 p.m.  Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
