Janice Kay Walker, 61, a loving and devoted wife and mother, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009.
Born Aug. 4, 1948, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Vernon and Edith Carton Sparks.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 161, of Crum.
She is survived by her husband, Ermal J. Walker of Crum, Daughter Kayla (Danny “Bo”) Messer of Crum, granddaughters Jayley and Jessina Messer and Chelsey Jennings, and sister Rita Snow of Zanesville.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, in the chapel of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield, Ky., with Raymond Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at the Walker Cemetery at Jennies Creek. Dave, Herbie and Wayne “Bug” Williamson, Charles, Aaron, and Daniel Walker and Allen Copley will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home.
