The Mingo County Sheriffs Department made an arrest after a motor vehicle accident involving a Mingo County school bus on the first day of school.

Katherine Willis, of Naugatuck, was arrested for driving on revoked driver’s license after officers were dispatched to the accident Wednesday. Once on scene officers ran a check on Willis’ license and found it to be revoked due to a DUI conviction on Sept. 10, 2008.

Approximately 16 children were on the bus, but no one involved received any injuries.

Willis was arraigned in front of a Mingo County magistrate and transported to Southwestern Regional Jail.
