This event is sponsored by the Williamson Athletic Committee (W.A.C.).

“We really want everyone in the community to come out and show our kids that we’re behind them and that we appreciate their efforts.” said W.A.C. President Jerry Hurley. “We especially need our alumni to be there.”

Admission is $2.00 per person or free admission for “W.A.C. Cardholders”.

The Gilbert High School Touchdown Club will be hosting a "Meet n' Greet" event at Lions Field in Gilbert on Thursday, August 20 at 7:00 pm.

Activities scheduled are the introduction of the 2009 football team and cheerleaders, entertainment by the GHS Marching Band, and a cookout.

D Club President Jim Bragg said, "We saw how the Gilbert area really came together during the recent flood disaster....I am especially proud of how our youth stepped up to help. We just want to show our appreciation to the community and especially show our support and pride to our GHS Lions! We are inviting all parents, students, and community members to join us to kick off this football season!"
