SE Ky. federal prison locked down after 8 get flu
PINE KNOT, Ky. (AP) — A federal prison in southeastern Kentucky has been locked down after eight inmates tested positive for the swine flu virus.
Prison information officer Fernando Messer said in a statement that the inmates at the prison in McCreary County no longer have symptoms. Messer says social visits will be suspended for about 10 days.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the prison's medical staff is advising inmates to report any symptoms.
