PIKE COUNTY — State highway maintenance specialists will install a new cross drain on Ky. Route 1748, Long Fork of Upper Johns Creek, tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22.

Stanley Pinion of the Phelps Maintenance Facility said that work will begin about 8 a.m. and should be finished shortly after lunch, weather permitting.

“The road will be closed to traffic during this time,” Pinion said. “We are sorry for the temporary inconvenience, but we know people understand that this will improve drainage and make the road safer in the long run. We want to thank people in advance for their patience.”
