The Williamson City Council will gather for its regular meeting at council chambers in City Hall.
July 11
The New Start 5K Race, held at Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, begins with registration, at 7 a.m. in the parking lot of the Wilkinson-Stumbo Convention Center. Top winners receive a trophy and all participants receive free t-shirts. Entry fees are $15 per adult and $10 per child. The Tug Valley Shrine Club will be having their annual swim part on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 6 p.m., for children that are treated at the Shrine hospital, and for all shrine members and their families. Food will be provided. Bring a desert if you wish.
The South Central Labor Council -WV AFL-CIO will be holding a Townhall Meeting at the Gary Community Center at 6 p.m. The discussion will include healthcare reform and the Employee Free Choice Act.
The public and all elected officials are encouraged to attend.
