Martha Hatfield Dotson, 82, of Thacker, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, Ky.
She was born on October 10, 1926, in Mingo County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry and Lizzie Rose Hatfield.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by husband Estel Lee Dotson grandson David Daniels and four brothers and sisters.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle of Thac-ker, W.Va.
Marthas survivors in-clude sons Johnny (Vicie) Dotson of Thacker, W.Va., Ricky (Susie) Dotson of Daniels, W.Va., Tim (Adre-ana) Dotson of North Matewan, W.Va.; daughters Shirley (Joe) Browning of Thacker, W.Va., Judy (Tivis) Daniels of Thacker, W.Va., Sandy (Ronnie) Mounts of Matewan, W.Va., Maxine (Glen) Dotson of Houstonsville, Ky., Patricia (Andrew) Sherman of Beloit, IL; brother Paul William Hatfield of Wis-consin; sisters Georgia Hurley of Abingdon, Va., Donna Fowler of Beech Creek, W.Va., and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Honoring services will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at the Jesus Name Tabernacle at Thacker, W.Va., at 12 p.m. with the reverands Bryan Hager and Bernard Smith officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the church with services nightly at 7 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chambers Funeral Services of Matewan, W.Va.
