Martha Lane, 82, of Varney, WV., passed away June 9, 2009 at the Williamson Memorial Ho-spital. She was born April 5, 1927 at Varney, WV. The daughter of the late Harvey and Della Bostic Hinkle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Lane and two sisters.

She was a homemaker and of the Church of God Faith.

Her survivors include sons, Gerald (Bessie) Lane of Millstone, WV., Samuel Lane of Varney, WV., and David (Louella) Musick of Roderfield, WV.; step-sons- Bobby Musick and William Justice of Hurley,VA., and Jimmy Lane of Mt. Airy, MD.; daughter Ilean Gibson of Varney, WV.; step-daughter Ilene (Russell) Graham of Dushore, PA.; special son-in-law Herbert Gibson; special grandchildren — Jamie (Devin) Marcum, Rosetta(Donnie) Jenkins, Carolyn (Chad) Adkins Brittany (Jason) Lovejoy Samantha (Caleb) Lane, Rachael (Michael) Cantrell, Jennifer (John) Pilkins, Gerald Jr. (Pepper) Lane Samuel Joseph Maynard; special great-grandchildren—Marie, Donnie Jr., Destiny, Char-ity, Chad Jr., and Caleb; 27 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Friday June 12, 2009 at 2 p.m., with elders Eddie Layne and James Adkins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gibson Cemetery at Varney, WV.

Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel Thurs-day evening from 6-9 p.m.
