Four of Mingo County's five municipalities held elections today to name their leaders.

Although West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant's office lists Delbarton as holding an election today, town officials said their council voted two years ago.

However, Williamson, Matewan, Kermit and Gilbert municipalties did hold elections today, as did more than 130 others across the state.

The results of the races, mostly uncontested, were not available at press time.

A complete report will appear in Thursday's issue.
