They made minature rocking chairs complete with pin drawer and cushion for a Mother”s Day gift for their mothers. Upon buying a motor home, he traveled and camped in all of the United States except for Alaska and Hawaii. He served Habitat for Human-ity and was involved with one of Jimmy Carter”s projects and the Presbyterian Church family in building homes.
One of his favorite memories was traveling with his cousin, Leonard “Tab” McCoy, to Haiti and helping build a school with the Jimmy Swaggart Mini-stries. Raymond”s witness for the Lord was very important to him and after receiving Christ, he wanted several of the area churches to have steeples and built them for three of the Phelps, Ky., area churches.
