Born July 17, 1936 in Pike County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Staton and Sadie Irene (Lowe) Staton Pauley. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Ray Goble; grandparents, Lark and Ellen L. Lowe and William And-erson and Mary Staton; father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Blanddene Gob-le; brother-in-law, RB Francis.
Betty was a homemaker and wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Williamson, West Virginia where she faithfully attended until illnesses prevented her from doing so.
She is survived by children, Kathi Rae (Hiram) Justice of Delbarton, West Virginia, Sandra Denise Goble of Forest Hills, Kentucky, Jan-ice Marie (Dewey) McCoy of Monroe, North Carolina and David Lee (Christy) Goble, of Monroe, North Carolina; grandchildren, Hiram Daniel (Delcie) Justice of Delbarton, West Virginia, Jeremy Dwayne Justice of Delbarton, West Virginia, Tyler Goble, Brooke Elisabeth McCoy and Courtney Marie Goble all of Monroe, North Carolina; sisters, Anna Lois Francis, Williamson, West Virginia and Nella Joyce (David) Thompson of Martin, Tennessee; brothers: William Harvey (Lou Ann) Goble of Louisville, Kentucky, Clifford Goble of Delbarton, West Virginia, Bonnie Goble of Sprigg, West Virginia, Ronald Dale and (Beth) Goble of Wilmington, North Caro-lina; and brothers-in-law, Donald McCoy of Sprigg, West Virginia and Ernie Marcum of Sarah Ann, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Bonnie Goble of Sprigg, West Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Calvary Baptist Church, William-son, West Virginia with George Terlizzi officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Maher, West Virginia with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m., Monday Evening at the church with special services at 7 p.m.
