PIKE, Ky. — Lower Johns Creek Road in Pike County, Ky. Route 194, will be closed to traffic until further notice between Joe's Creek Road (Ky. Route 3227) and Coal Hollow Road, District 12 of the Kentucky Department of Highways announced.
The pavement is broken and slipping and is not safe for vehicles, according to Engineer Paxton Weddington of Highway District 12.
Weddington and Engineering Technologist Joe Stanley are working now to get crews with appropriate equipment to the site so that repair work can start.

"We have so many needs all over the county as a result of the recent flash floods," Weddington said. "Everything is a priority. We are working as fast as our resources will go, and we just want to thank people for their patience and understanding."
