Pauline Wellman Meadows, 84, of Varney, WV, went home to be with the Lord May 13, 2009 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 17, 1925 in Pike County Kentucky, the daughter of the late Bolivar and Nettie Williamson Wellman. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Meadows, and two sisters, Marie Williams and Elsie Irene Belcher.

She was a member of the Gospel House Church of God at Taylorville, WV.

Mrs. Meadows is survived by her husband of 60 years Edward Richard (E.R.) Meadows of Varney, WV.; two daughters, Linda (Burgess) Dalton of Taylorville, WV., and Wanda (Mose) Faine of Matewan, WV.; two sons, Paul (Kathy) Meadows of Newtown, WV., and Ira (Myra) Meadows of Red Jacket, WV.; two brothers, Curtis (Edna) Wellman of Hardy, KY, and Ira (June) Wellman of Varney, WV.; and a sister, Mildred Hammond of Varney, W.V.

She was the grandmother 12 and great grandmother of 16 and great-great grandmother of 2. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and friends who love and will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home Saturday May 16, 2009 at 12 p.m., with Rev. Willard Gibson and Rev. Nathaniel Gibson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Justice Cemetery at Taylorville, WV.

Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel Friday evening from 6-9 pm.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
