MU 2009 Season Football

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Marshall's 2009 football season tickets are now on sale.

The university said Tuesday that season ticket prices are unchanged from last season. They begin at $88 for end zone seats. Sideline season tickets start at $149.

Marshall will have six home games this fall against Southern Illinois, Bowling Green, East Carolina, UAB, Southern Miss and SMU.

Tickets can be bought online at www.herdzone.com or at the Marshall Athletic Box Office in the Cam Henderson Center during regular business hours.

Summer Baseball League Conducting Sign-ups

WILLIAMSON - Any baseball players age 17 and under who will be in or entering high school (grades 9-12) in the 2009 / 2010 school year are invited to participate on a team of players combined from Mingo, WV and Pike KY area high school baseballprograms.

The team will be competingin a league comprised of other summer baseball teams which feed their respective high school programs across south-western West Virginia and eastern Kentucky.

Seniors graduating at the end of the 2009 school term are not eligible to participate.

Anyone interested should contact Coach Greg Smith at 304-235-1875 by May 15th, 2009.

WILLIAMSON - The Mingo County 4-H program will be holding ita annual Golf Tournament on Saturday May 30, 2009 at he Tug Valley Country Club. In case of inclement weather, the date will change to

Saturday June 6, 2009

There will be cash prizes awarded for the following placers:

First Place Team will share $400

Second Place Team will share $300

Third Place Team will

share $200

Other prizeswill be awarded for the following :Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Closest to the Pin, Plus a Hole in One Grand Prize of a Caribbean Cruise for two.

Entry fee is $50 each person for a four-man scramble

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The Shotgun Tee Off begins at 10:00 a.m.
