She was a retired school bus driver for the Mingo County Board of Education.
Born April 15, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Johnce and Allie (Cline) Cline and was a lifetime resident of Baisden.
Lula was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a Born-Again-Christian of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death. by two sons, Zachary Jennings and Johnson “Biggon” Bailey; three brothers, Bill B. Cline, Hoover Cline and Roose-velt Cline, and two sisters, Darkis Burney and Geneva Lester. Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years,
Herman Bailey of Bais-den; her loving daughter, Etta J 0 Bailey Edminston of Varney, WV; her two beloved sons, Dexter (Bar-bara) Bailey of Baisden, and Rusty Bailey of Gilbert, WV; three sisters, Chloe Burgess of Baisden, Ms. Lona Blankenship of Hampden, WV, and Corrina (Denvil) Riffe of Ikes Fork, WV; seven precious grandchildren, April (Scot) Perry of Baisden, Tommy Ryan May of Belfry, KY, D.J. Bailey of Baisden, Josh Bailey of Justice, WV, Cortney Bailey of Baisden, Dalton Scott Bailey of Baisden, and Cody Shaun Bailey of Matewan, WV; three wonderful greatgrandchildren, Bailey Perry, Donovan Bailey and Taya Marie Bailey, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may call at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 14, with a service set at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 15,2009, at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, WV. The Rev. Danny Mitchell will officiate and burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery at Baisden, WV.
Pallbearers will include sons and grandsons of the deceased. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Lester, Denny Ray Lester, John Thompson, Gary Wayne Blankenship, Michael Cline and the Rev. Allen Cline.
